At one attempt in trying to color a different version only to have it fail, then draw it all over again, this is the 2nd copy. I tried to make it as much "Samus-looking" as possible. She's the main protagonist of the Metroid series and Metroid Prime trilogy. She often wears the Power Suit which conceals her real identity and many believe that she is a dude or a robot...
Anyway, I took the plasma whip idea from the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Brawl which is my most anticipated game. I idolize Samus and her creators due to the fact that not many female protagonists are available in the video gaming world and most of them are designed to aim for men "Tomb Raider: Lara Croft."
